Look I love Jesse’s content and I’m not discrediting him in anyway, but this is the whole problem with the fitness industry…

Everyone makes it seem like you have to be so hardcore to have this insane physique when in reality, it doesn’t have to be that hard or complicated.

You don’t have to eat the same thing everyday. I’m 10 weeks out and I’m still eating the foods I enjoy. If you track your calories, then you don’t have to eat that same thing every single day if you don’t want to, and it allows you to be smarter with your food selection when it comes to being in a calorie deficit as you can choose better lower calorie and filling alternatives.

You don’t have to do 50 minutes of cardio everyday either just because you’re prepping for a show. How much of a deficit you need to be in and how you achieve this depends on the person. If you give yourself more time to prep, you can spend less time suffering from low calories and a stupid amount of cardio, and you can ensure you’re going to be lean enough when it comes to show day.

He is right about one thing though, bodybuilding prep is no joke. And I think that people really underplay the preparation, and how physically and mentally difficult it actually is.

Not everyone can do it, and not everyone should do it… It is far from healthy and it can create a lot of health and mental problems… Sure you look really good, but your feel far from it, and… my penis doesn’t work 🥲
