It is interesting to note here that while most Americans are well nourished, many bodybuilders are grossly overnourished, yet they still don’t see satisfactory results from their training effort. This serves only to_the point that training is the first primary requirement, while nutrition is secondary. It is only within the context of having satisfied nature’s first fundamental requirement, the imposition of a high intensity training stress.
That nutrition then becomes important for the bodybuilder, And looking back to my own bodybuilding career, I too wasted considerable time owing to ignorance and confusion. I unwittingly allowed myself to become deluded by uncritically reading certain muscle magazines, especially their fraudulent, seductive advertising, which promised that we could all become bodybuilding champions almost overnight, if only we would invest considerable money in a certain product.
